The film version of Rebecca Well's national bestseller, Divine
Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood completed production in and around
the Wilmington, North Carolina area in June, 2001. Buckner Hill Plantation
near Faison was the site of the fictitious Walker family's "Pecan
Grove" Louisiana home and was used as the main site for much of the
filming. The feature film adaptation
of the best-selling novel stars Sandra Bullock, Ashley Judd, Academy
Award-winner Ellen Burstyn, Academy Award-winner Dame Maggie Smith and
James Garner. "What a
magical experience"
say the location owners of their interaction with the cast and
crew. View their comments here.
